  • Jameson Urban Routes

Jameson Urban Routes (JUR) is an annual indoor music festival held over two back to back weekends every October/November, in Musicbox. Since its first edition in 2007, the festival has been bringing some of the most relevant projects, both on the national and international scenes, to its stage, presenting an eclectic line-up of established and emerging artists and djs, who feature a modern approach to their local roots, highlighting the latest trends in urban music.

JUR offers variety and originality in its musical choices, which is a natural result of our choice of programming. Each night of the festival is thought as a chapter of a longer story: the stage becomes a meeting point between bands and artists that share related backgrounds, interests or artistic relations. This dialogue conveys a message to the audience which is invited to take part of the action: the small dimensions of the club and the physical closeness between performance and audience creates a more intimate experience between the stage and the floor.

Appearances in the past include Twin Shadow, Health, Mocky, Cibelle, Toro Y Moi, El Guincho, Noiserv, Jazzanova, Planningtorock,  Gilles Peterson, Mykki Blanco, Arthur Baker, WhoMadeWho, Six Organs of Admittance, Lapalux, Cate Le Bon, Glass Animals, Lucas/Medeiros, Strand of Oaks, Mendrugo, Memória de Peixe, Gold Panda, Fujiya & Miyagi, Lonnie Holey, Future Islands or Wild Beasts.
