Poetas do Povo is a poetry night hosted at Povo, every Monday, since 2013. It is an open forum for poetry, spoken word and musical artists inviting anyone who share the love for words to come together and bring their poems to the open mic. Every week, Poetas do Povo invites a group of poets, writers, artists and musicians to honor a poetic subject: an author, a concept, a genre, an event. This is the starting point for an informal evening that every week recovers the spirit of old salons and becomes a meeting point between authors, casual passersby and loyal audiences.
